this privacy policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, when you visit our website or restaurant and how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information, your rights in relation to that information and the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

1. how we collect your information

when you use the website or visit one of our restaurants we may collect and process information about you. where you can be identified from this information (directly or indirectly), it will comprise your “personal information” and must be treated with additional care.

automatically collected when you visit our website, we may automatically collect the following information:

when you visit one of our restaurants, we may collect personal information like:

• your image captured on our CCTV in operation in for security purposes;
• when you access the Fuji Sushi and Thai wi-fi: you may be requested to enter your personal information. information may furthermore be automatically collected in order to produce aggregated and anonymous reports concerning the use of the Fuji Sushi and Thai wi-fi service. These reports will not personally identify you. Specifically, the information we collect automatically may include information like your IP address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser-type, broad geographic location (e.g. country or city-level location) and other technical information.
• please note that Fuji Sushi and Thai wi-fi is not available for persons under 18 years old. if you are under 18 years old, you will need to ask a parent or other responsible adult to sign in for you. information about your network, devices, nodes, configurations, connection speeds, and network and application performance and location information from wi-fi access points;
• if you report a problem or request support from one of our staff members at the restaurants and provide them with your personal information;
• if you use pay on your phone in order to settle your bill;
• when you fill in any forms. for example, if an accident happens in a restaurant.

volunteered by you you may provide us with your information in a number of ways, including:

• completing forms on the website (such as "contact us" or “group bookings” forms);
• when you use click and collect or by way of a delivery partner like deliveroo.
• corresponding with us by e-mail, phone or otherwise;
• subscribing to email updates, newsletters or other subscriptions and features made available on the website from time to time;
• using the provided wi-fi in one of our restaurants; reporting a problem or requesting support for the website;

• when joining any of our loyalty or promotional programs, such as the noodle union;

the information we collect includes your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, gender, social media account details (such as facebook and twitter), and any other information you provide on registration, on placing an order, direct communication to our staff at the restaurant and through other means on the website, some of which will comprise your personal information.

if you are ordering a takeaway from one of our restaurants you may also provide us with your credit or debit card number and expiry date. we will not store this information which will instead be processed and stored by our payment providers in accordance with their privacy policies

when you buy a giftcard you may also provide us with your credit or debit card number and expiry date. this information will be processed by transaction wireless in accordance with its privacy policy.

2. payment and card details and paying via app or website

in order to pay your Fuji Sushi and Thai’s bill using your phone, where this service is available, you will need to input a valid email address and/or your credit or debit card details. payment processing services are provided by Adyen N.V, which will involve transferring your data to Adyen’s servers and sub-processors in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

we will not store your card details on our system. your personal and card details will be securely stored by Adyen and used only for the purpose of administering payment, verification of transactions, refunds and ease of use in future transactions using the service. however, your CSC/CVV number will not be stored and must be entered each time you use a card for authentication. we will store your email address on Amazon Web Services in order to send you an electronic receipt following bill payment.

for click and collect orders we will also share the name you have provided us with to our POS provider, Oracle Corporation UK Limited, to generate your receipt and/or collection ticket following bill payment.

3. how we use your information

we process this information for the purpose of:

• dealing with your inquiries and requests;
• providing and personalising our service for you;
• to notify you about changes to our service;
• compiling your membership profile;
• processing your payment through our payment sub-processor;
• crime prevention and prosecution of offenders;
• as part of our efforts to keep the website safe and secure;
• maintaining information as a reference tool or general resource (for analytics and research);
• providing reservation or booking services;
• gathering information to form statistical and trend analysis;
• research and analytics on an aggregate and/or anonymous basis;

8. retention of your personal information

your personal information will be retained for as long as necessary to carry out the purpose for which we collected it. if we have had no online contact from you for 3 years, we may delete your personal information, unless longer retention is required by applicable local law or where we have a legitimate and lawful purpose to do so. however, we will not retain beyond this period any of your personal information that is no longer required for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. the retention of your personal information will be subject to periodic review. we may keep an anonymised form of your personal information, which will no longer refer to you, for statistical purposes without time limits, to the extent that we have a legitimate and lawful interest in doing so.
